What is Alternate Nostril Breathing? (Plus 4 Reasons to Try)

How to do alternate nostril breathing:

  1. Sit up straight with your spine tall and shoulders relaxed.

  2. Use your right thumb to close your right nostril.

  3. Inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril.

  4. Close off your left nostril with your ring finger, then exhale out your right nostril.

  5. Inhale through your right nostril, then close it off with your right thumb.

  6. Exhale out of your left nostril.

  7. Repeat this pattern for 10 rounds.
